Hi guys. As you can see, there’s wonderful news about the Ainur website layout. Dino “The Great” Olivieri has updated the layout: what do you think of it?
A few days remain until Lay of Leithian is released, and meanwhile you can see a part of the new amazing album cover made, as always, by Dino Olivieri, who has created and drawn the booklet and cover of Ainur’s next album.

At 7.oo p.m. of June 7th 2009 “Lay of Leithian” was ready for the world.
The mastering session was finished by Alberto Macerata at the Play Studio in Bricherasio, adding the ultimate session recording of narrative parts, written by Wilma Collo and acted by three guest voices.

In june the graphic and cover concept artwork is going to be finished. The artwork will be created, as always, by Dino “the great” Olivieri, who has made all Ainur cover work and booklet.

The album will be released in september by Electromantic Music by Beppe Crovella as a double-concept album with over 2 hours of music for 25 album tracks.

Meanwhile, a CD+DVD deluxe edition (with a surprise!!)  will be probably released for december 2009, as Christmas’ gift for all Tolkienian and proggers fans. The DVD is made and edited by Marco Catalano.

I’m glad to tell you that the I Musici di San Grato’s Orchestra had recorded his parts of Lay of Leithian album. They had played on 26th April five tracks of double-concept album (signed by *)

Yesterday evening (March 31th), Ainur had finished oboe’s parts. Alessandro Cammilli, (oboist from Regio Theater of Turin) who had also recorded in “Children of Hurin”, had played in 3 songs.

Ainur (with Children of Hurin) are nominated as finalists to Prog Awards 2008 in three categories: best recording, best italian recording and best artwork.

Finalmente gli Ainur entreranno in sala di registrazione al Play Studio di Bricherasio il 12 gennaio
per registrare il loro 3° album. Come molti sanno il nuovo disco sarà un doppio concept e sarà incentrato sulla storia di Beren e Luthien, contenuta ne Il Silmarillion di Tolkien. Il titolo dell’album sarà probabilmente “Lay of Leithian“.

Alla fine di ogni giorno di registrazione saranno messi on-line su youtube (sul canale mickcatalano) dei video delle registrazioni appena effettuate.

I primi ad entrare in sala sono ovviamente Marco (drum) e Giuseppe (bass).

Finally Ainur go to the Play Studio in Bricherasio (Italy) to record their 3rd album on January 12th, 2009.
As many know, new album will be a double-concept about Beren & Luthien’ story, which is in The Silmarillion by Tolkien.
The album’s title will be “Lay of Leithian“.

At the end of any recording-day, there will be on-line on youtube (on channel mickcatalano) some videos about session recording.

Of course, we will begin with Marco (drum) and Giuseppe (bass)
